Restaurant 1 – a great start to the day

Breakfast is served in Restaurant 1, just around the corner from the reception. Here you can fill your plate with everything from crispy bacon and eggs to fruit and yoghurt. The bread is freshly baked and the coffee is freshly brewed.

If you have children with you, there is also something they will like. High chairs are available so that everyone can sit comfortably.

The summer kitchen at VINGSTED

Taste summer at VINGSTED. Look forward to our summer buffet, served every evening for six weeks. In summer 2026, we fire up the grill by the tent on the lawn, surrounded by forest-covered hills – a meal that simply tastes like summer.

In 2026, we serve from 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm in the period from 29 June to 6 August (both days included).

You’ll find dishes made from fresh, local ingredients, crisp salads and familiar favourites that kids also enjoy. VINGSTED holds the Danish Organic Cuisine Label in bronze. That means 30–60% of our ingredients are organic.

Summer evenings with grill and time together

When summer arrives at VINGSTED, dinner moves outside under the impressive three-masted tent and into the long, light evenings.

You sit down to a selection that changes from day to day. You will always find starters with fish or meat, along with green options built around seasonal ingredients. The salad bar offers six different salads and a variety of toppings, so you can build your plate just the way you like it.

On the grill, you will find a daily selection of meat, fish or other grilled dishes. There are also grilled sausages, the potato of the day and a child-friendly dish for the youngest in the family.

Once the plates are empty, the next activity is right outside the door. The children can head straight out and keep playing across the 15 hectares of nature surrounding VINGSTED. Right next to the tent they can jump on the bouncy castle, play swing ball or simply invent their own fun, while you enjoy a quiet moment at the table.
